OnedayTheLord invitedSanatanaGoswami to join
himforLunchPrasadam;
SanatanaGoswamicametomeettheLordinthesummerheat,walkingoverthe
sandy shores bare feet. The Lord enquired Why didnt you come
from
theJagannathMandirsSimhaDwaarwhichisthemainentrance?Thiswouldhave
savedyoualltheheatandyourfeetwouldhavebeensavedfromburns.Tothis
SanatanaGoswamihumblyrepliedIfIhadappearedfromthefrontentrance,the
foul odour that emanates frommy bodywould have caused discomfort
to the
priestsofthetemplewhoareservingtheLordatthesanctumandmaybethere
was a chance of having a bodily contact with the priests which
would have
contaminatedthem.Byappearingfromtherear,Ihavesavedalotofimpediments
fromappearingintheserviceofLordJagannath.TheLordinreplysaidByyour
contact the 33 croredevataswould get purified and that
ismyassurance.It is
customaryfor apuredevotee toadhere
toVaishnavaetiquette..ThusSanatana
Goswami impressedLordChaitanyaMahaprabhuwith his
genuineintentionsof
servingtheHim.
Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu says that both Haridas Thakur and
Sanatana
GoswamiarelikeHisownchildren.Itdoesnotmatterifevenloadsofpussoozed
out from their bodies; just like when themother takes her baby
covered with
excretaintoherhandsandservesthechild,inasimilarmannertheLordfeelsHe
wouldaccept themas if theirbody weresmearedwithsandalwood
paste.The
odourofthebodysmearwillbejustlikethesweetfragranceofpureBhaktiforthe
Lord.SosayingtheLordtightlyembracedSanatanaGoswamiand
lo,Sanatana
Goswamis body turned into a golden effulgent frame and the
diseased state
immediately left Sanatana Goswami and he was restored to good
health.The
whole episode just was a test rendered to Sanatana Goswami by
the Lord.

After Sanatana Goswami reached Vrindavana, he started the

SanatanaGoswamiwasthen ready tooffer theLord someSaltalongwith
the
bread.ItshouldbenotedherethatwhattheLordactuallyconsumesisthepure

loving devotion to the Lord then what is the point of offering
highly palatable

WhentheLorddemandedsalt,SanatanaGoswamihadtofulfillHisdesireandsohewentonthelookoutforsomesaltwhichtheLordcouldpartakeasBhoga.At
thatverytime,atthefoothills,intheYamuna,therewasasaltmerchant,Krishna
KapoorwhowashavingproblemswithhisboatsailingintheYamuna.Theboat
was jammednear the shores ofYamuna andhe was havinga terrible
time to
journey further. A bluish skinned boy with divine features
approached Krishna
Kapoor.WhenKrishnaKapooraskedtheboyforawayout,theboy,pointedto
thetopofthehillandtoldKapoorthataBabajiwasresidentatthehilltopandby
hisbenediction,hewouldbeabletosalvagehisSaltladenboatwithinnotime.
Theboyhowever askedKapoortocarry enough saltwith himwhenhewent
to
meettheBabajiie.SanatanaGoswami.KapooraskedSanatanaGoswamitobless
himsothathisboatcouldberelievedfromthejamattheshoreandalsooffered
SantanaGoswami enough salt in return for his blessings. Sanatana
Goswami
happilyreceivedthesaltsackandprayedtoLordMadanaMohantohelpKapoor.
AfterthisSanatanaGoswamitoldKapoorthathisboatwasnowsalvagedandthat
hecouldresumehisjourney.
WhenKapoorreachedtheboatatthefoothills,hefoundthattheboatwasnow
availableforthefurtherjourney.KapoormadealotofprofitwiththeSaltthathe
carried with him. As a token of indebtedness, he gave away all
the profit to
SanatanaGoswamionhisreturnandarrangedtobuildalavishtempleforSriSri
RadhaMadanaMohana.
