Dear Members,
I would like to thank all of you for your patience during the re-surfacing of South Shore ,North Shore and Bay Shore. It is a hassle for all of us but needs to be accomplished to protect our roads. All work should be accomplished by the first of July.
Again, I remind everyone to take care on the lake. Please review the rules and follow them to protect the safety of all who enjoy this great community.
Get ready for the Fourth of July, it is just around the corner. There will be a lot of boats on the lake for the fireworks so let’s all be extra careful. (July 5th.)
Parents, I encourage all of you to review with your children the rules for operating golf carts, atv’s, etc. We want to make the summer safe for all at the lake.
If any of you have any concerns or ideas on improvements for our community please contact me or any member of the board. We are here to serve the community and want to do our best.
Have a great Fourth of July and a great Summer

GOLF COURSE SERVICE ROAD
As we head into the summer months and invite more guests to visit, it is time to remind our residents that the service (dirt) road behind the front nine of the golf course is not a thru street. This is the dirt road from the office/maintenance complex to Lago Vista. There are signs at both ends of this road advising it is not a thru street. Traffic on this road is restricted to service/maintenance vehicles, golf carts and atv type vehicles for two primary reasons.
First, this road is not paved or maintained as a through street and not designed for a normal traffic flow. Heavy rains typically cause large ruts which require periodic maintenance. Using this road as a thru street further increases the maintenance requirement, diverting limited resources away from higher priorities.
The second and most important reason this road is not to be used for thru traffic is safety. The service road provides a convenient and safe route for golfers to go to and from the club house without competing with vehicles on Tanglewood Drive. Additionally, it provides for the same safe route to and from the office, landfill and off road trails for golf carts, atvs and Polaris type utility vehicles.
We ask all residents and guests to use the paved and named streets for motor vehicle travel. Be safe and courteous.

Howdy from the Golf Assoc. ,
Well , the rain man cometh . We had around 7 ½ inches of rain over a 2 weekend period , This has done wonders for all the Golf Courses in the area and especially ours . This has been a big boost for the Buffalo grass in the rough areas on the back nine .If we can keep up the better than normal rainfall , we can be a little more lax about staying on the cart paths . Until then please stay on the cart paths unless you are Handicap Exempt . Congratulations to the winners of the Memorial Day tournament , Clay Lankford , Dakota Dunn , Hunter Oliver , and Brady Treadway . We were lucky enough to get a break in rain to have the tournament . Thanks to all who showed up . The remaining schedule is as follows:
July 5th - Red , White & Blue , 4 person Scramble
July 18th - Night Golf , 4 Person Scramble
July 19th - Night Golf, 4 Person Scramble
Aug 16th - Tanglewood Championship , Men 18 holes , Woman 9 & 18 holes
Sept 1st - Labor day tournament, 4 Person Scramble
If you have any questions or concerns please give me a call @ 670-7745
Thank you ,
Dean Logan ( President )

The incredible true story of America’s first mountain adventure race,by auto, steam train, and foot to the top of Mount Baker, a 10,781 foot
volcanic, glacial peak.
Many would start...few would finish.
From 1911 to 1913, a legitimately “amazing race” was run. Envious of the tourists flocking to Seattle, the civic leaders of fledgling Bellingham devised an elaborate PR stunt: America’s first mountain adventure race. Offering up $100 in gold
coins to the first runner who could clamber up and down nearby Mount Baker, a 10,781 foot volcanic, glacial peak! Page 8
