Despite losing Dalvin Cook,Florida State is still loaded at runningback. Jacques Patrick backed upCook the last two seasons and will bethe starter when the Seminoles open
the season against Alabama Sept. 3.Sophomore speedster Amir Rasul isa great change of pace back, but theyboth will be backing up true freshmanbeast Cam Akers by the end of Sep-tember. Akers was the No. 1 highschool back in the country out of Clin-ton, Mississippi and was the most ex-plosive player on the field at the FSUspring game where he rushed for 89yards on 10 carries. On the other sideof the ball, Florida State safety Der-win James, who missed 11 games in2016 with a torn meniscus, is back andbetter than ever. James was every-where in the spring game notchingseven tackles including three behindthe line of scrimmage.
That Alabama/FSU match-up is amonster game to kickoff the season inthe brand new Mercedes-Benz Domein Atlanta. It features two teams thathave either won or played in the Na-tional Championship Game in five ofthe last six years. They are the twowinningest programs over the last sixyears going 144-21. Alabama openedas a 7-point favorite in the game.

TITANS: OVER 8.5 WINSTennessees won nine games last year and was one of ourNFL Season Win Total Best Bet winners. In reality, they couldhave won 11 if QB Marcus Mariota didn’t break his leg andmiss the last two games. Running backs DeMarcus Murrayand Derrick Henry are an outstanding tandem and run be-hind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. First rounddraft pick Corey Davis, will contribute immediately and giveMariota a deep threat while the “D” added nose tackleSylvester Williams and defensive back Logan Ryan to whatwas already a solid unit. We’ll call for 10 wins. GO OVER!
EAGLES: OVER 8 WINSThe Eagles were 7-9 last year, but six of their nine losseswere by a TD or less. They could have easily won nine gamesin 2016 and this year will be more experienced particularly atQB where Carson Wentz will be much improved in his secondpro season. They also had more games lost to injuries bystarters than any team in the NFL. Philadelphia added sev-eral veterans on both sides of the ball and with improved QBplay, a better closing percentage in close games, and less in-juries, getting to nine wins is a solid bet. GO OVER!

James Franklin has donean amazing job at Penn Stateand welcomes back 16 starters, including the nation’s best run-ning back, Saquon Barkley, and underrated QB Trace Mc-Sorley. When Franklin arrivedin 2014, he had just sevenscholarship offensive linemenand had to switch two defensivelinemen to offense to help. Now,the offensive line is one of thenation’s best and with a soliddefense and manageable sched-ule in which they will be favoredin every game except at OhioState, we think Penn State winsback-to-back Big Ten titles.
Former LSU signal-callerBrandon Harris has transferred toNorth Carolina, where he will at-tempt to replace Mitch Trubisky. The Tarheels have several othercontenders for Trubisky’s spot in-cluding Nathan Elliott, ChazzSurratt and Logan Byrd, but nonehave the in-game experience ofHarris. At LSU, Harris started 22games and threw for 2,756 yardsand 20 touchdowns, but was not ac-curate and widely inconsistent.
Matt Rhule’s first spring as thenew head coach at Baylor has fea-tured a five-way QB battle althoughit looks to us like last year’s starterZach Smith will win the job. Smithwas thrust into the starting role fol-lowing the injury to starter SethRussell and departure to Auburn ofheir apparent Jarrett Stidham.Smith threw for 1,526 yards and 13touchdowns in five games as theBears starter. He saved his best forlast throwing for 375 yards andthree touchdowns in the Bears 31-14 Cactus Bowl win over BoiseState. However, there are some in-teresting options at QB, includingAnu Solomon, who tossed 49
touchdowns at Arizona before in-juries derailed his career. Now agraduate transfer senior, Solomon'sexperience and running ability couldbe an X-factor for the Bears.
We have already broken downthe 2017 NFL schedule, as we getready to again get all “SteamTeam” members off to one of ourpatented bankroll building FASTSTARTS! Amazingly, both Cleve-land and LA Rams will be underdogsin every game this year while theNew England Patriots will be favoredin every game in 2017.
No team has more to prove orhas a coach on a hotter seat thanNotre Dame and its head manBrian Kelly. ND had one of itsworst seasons in history as theystarted the year ranked in the Top10 and ended a disgraceful 4-8. De-spite annually hyping his quarter-back, Kelly has never produced aquarterback who stuck in the NFL in25 years of head coaching. The Irishhave one of their toughest sched-ules in years, but have an abun-dance of talent. If Kelly can’t geteight wins in 2017 he will join a long
line of Notre Dame headcoaches getting paid while notcoaching!
By the way, our preseasonTop 10, “Coaches on the HotSeat” and “Go With” and “GoAgainst” teams features, whichhave become wildly popular withthe national media and readersalike due to their incredible ac-curacy, will be in upcoming is-sues of the Bondi Bulletin. TheBulletin, which features sevenpointspread winners everyweek, is FREE for all “SteamTeam” members. The cost is$99 for 22 issues for non-mem-bers. poured over statistics and re-watched game film from last year toanalyze what information led topointspread winners and what mis-takes with our losing picks. It waseye opening and we gleaned someincredible insight into what we didright and wrong that is going to leadto more winners than ever in 2017.
