July 1-August 29 Trees Abstract, Flora, and Honouring the People and Places of India exhibit at the Collingwood Public Library Dynamic photographs bring people and nature to life with a new art exhibit displaying at the Collingwood Public Library this July and August. The Library welcomes Mirella Mossanen and Sheila Reisman, two accomplished photographers who capture the everyday and make it extraordinary. Mirella Mossanen’s Trees Abstract features portraits of trees viewed without the context of the landscapes and environments they inhabit. Alongside Trees Abstract, Mossanen will display her collection Flora, which is a study of flora life forms, their cycle of life and nuances of expression. Sheila Reisman’s Honouring the People and Places of India showcases portraits and landscapes from Reisman’s recent photo shoot in India. Reisman explores the contrasting Indian landscape while revealing the courage and uniqueness of its people. Please answer our call for entries for the Arts and Culture Committee’s first Lamp Post Art project to celebrate and showcase Collingwood artists with art banners on lamp posts in the downtown.
