Along with the name change a new series of explorative rebranding took place to bring816 recording to where it is now.

ELEGANT. MODERN. TIMELESS.


816 recordings goal was to begin to voice attributes of elegance that also reflect amodern and a timeless Kansas City. To push these attributes, the followingcharacteristics of the rebrand began to form to reflect these three words.

The use of the grid is a reoccurring pattern and paper use that reflects the structure ofmusic and also hints at an ofcial quality (that 816 Recording has). The color pallet wasderived from images of outer space skies.

They typefaces gotham and and chronicle also create a serious tone and also hit atprofessionalism and order.
