• Anyone who is registered on day one of EDUCANZ will be registered for life
• Current practising certificates will carry over• Current LATs will carry over• Application process for new LATs will change• Fees will remain unchanged
Impact – Conduct and Competence
• Serious misconduct cases will go straight to the Disciplinary Tribunal
• Mandatory reporting extended to include fixed term positions
• Penalty for non-reporting in relation to any matter of conduct increased from $5k to $25k
• Council can take action without relying on a third party complaint
