JSS PS celebrates the Festival of Lights DIWALI One of the most loved festivals of India, Diwali, was celebrated with great zeal in the JSS Private School. The children of Grade 1 dived enthusiastically into the spirit of Diwali. The buzzing started days before when it was announced that children were to come in ethnic wear. The morning of Tuesday 10th November saw children coming decked up in colourful traditional dresses. Not to be left behind their teachers came in vibrant sarees and salwar kameez. The day saw a flurry of activities among the First Graders who started the day by making Diwali cards for loved ones. And then they donned their aprons and got really busy painting earthen diyas in the colours of their fancy. Amidst a lot of cheerful chatters and spilling of paints many beautifully decorated diyas were produced. The sweets which the children brought from home were soon distributed with lots of excitement. The teachers became the main targets of the kids and were stuffed with sweets till they could take no more. To shed away the extra calories gained all gathered in the Auditorium for a dance. And things came really alive when the popular numbers were played.

JSS PS celebrates the Festival of Lights – DIWALI

One of the most loved festivals of India, Diwali, was celebrated with

great zeal in the JSS Private School. The children of Grade 1 dived

enthusiastically into the spirit of Diwali. The buzzing started days

before when it was announced that children were to come in ethnic

wear. The morning of Tuesday 10th November saw children coming

decked up in colourful traditional dresses. Not to be left behind their

teachers came in vibrant sarees and salwar kameez.

The day saw a flurry of activities among the First Graders who started

the day by making Diwali cards for loved ones. And then they donned

their aprons and got really busy painting earthen diyas in the colours

of their fancy. Amidst a lot of cheerful chatters and spilling of paints

many beautifully decorated diyas were produced.

The sweets which the children brought from home were soon

distributed with lots of excitement. The teachers became the main

targets of the kids and were stuffed with sweets till they could take no

more. To shed away the extra calories gained all gathered in the

Auditorium for a dance. And things came really alive when the

popular numbers were played.
