JSNA dataset project: Nottingham update
24th June 2009
Louise NoonJSNA Manager
Nottingham City Council/NHS Nottingham City
Recap• Positives: Shared Intelligence Network, Nomad+
Website for data sharing and JSNA dissemination, Template for chapters, JSNA Steering group- rotating chair, JSNA training- awareness for commissioning managers and development workshop for authors to reshape/understand next years template
• Health led chapters used for health commissioning, Children’s lead chapters for Children's- not enough ‘jointness’ across organisations or areas
• Not enough engagement captured systematically• Safeguarding major priority, Domestic violence chosen
as focus because of cross cutting issues, data, services etc
Chart from ‘Think Family’ report(Impact of parental disadvantage
on children’s outcomes)
Milestones in field work• Key stakeholders met with (ChS, ASHH, CDP
arranged, PCT lead for DV)• Data mapping exercise started: identification
of available data• Engagement work planned with survivors of
domestic violence to hear their voice on a range of issues including their views on available services, gaps, reasons for failing to disclose earlier- production of CD for event in November
Challenges
• Lots of emerging issues about ‘jointness’ of JSNA
• Overlap between partners where one has target, another has data and another is providing the service (example of children’s safeguarding)
• How to make it part of the day job
