Sir Raymond Lu Presents Paper in 4th National ORSP Conference

Sir Raymond Lu presented his paper entitled “The Single Stage Combined

Evaluation of Fixed and Variable Cost Model for the Multi-Tier Transportation

Problem” in the 4th National Conference of the Operations Research Society

of the Philippines. The conference was held on November 5 at the newly-

opened Eastwood Richmonde Hotel.

IE Club Successfully Hosts the 1st Industrial and Management Engineering Holistic

Student Conference

On November 6, 2010, Industrial and Management Engineering schools in the

country saw the 1st Industrial and Management Engineering Holistic Student

Conference at the SMX Convention Center. This whole day student conference

that featured plenary talks and workshops was successfully hosted by the UP

IE Club.

CIEM Celebrates 34th Anniversary

This month of November 2010, the Circle of Industrial Engineering Majors

celebrates its 34th Anniversary. Happy Birthday CIEM!

4th Year BSIE students Karen Crisostomo and Mariel Tan are finalists in the 13th

National Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC 2011)

4th year BS Industrial Engineering students, Karen Crisostomo and

Mariel Tan made it to the final screening for the 13th National Ayala

Young Leaders Congress (AYLC 2011). The final screening was an

interview held on November 25. The IE Department hopes to receive

good news related to this soon.
