Day 05: LemesosAfter breakfast depart for Kykko Monastery, founded in 1100 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The monastery possesses one of the 3 surviving icons painted by St Luke. You will also visit the Kykko museum with a priceless collection of icons, manuscripts and other Cypriot antiquities. Day 04: Krakow – Wadowice – Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – Krakow Breakfast, visit Wadowice, family home of Karol Wojtyła, Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Visit the Pope’s Family Home, today a museum, documenting his life and work as a priest in Poland. St. Peter’s Church and the Shrine of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, Stop at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy consecrated in 2002 by Pope John Paul II. Dinner and overnight in Krakow. B D

Day 05: Krakow – Częstochowa – Krakow After breakfast travel to Częstochowa, chosen as the place for the 6th World Youth Day By Pope John Paul. Jasna Gora “Bright Mount” is the most important Marian shrine in Poland and a destination for hundreds of pilgrimages every year. Its focal point is the Chapel of the Blessed Vir-gin and its miraculous icon of the Black Madonna. Dinner and overnight. B D

Day 06: Krakow – Zakopane – Krakow Breakfast depart for Zakopane, tour will include a funicu-lar train ride to the top of Mount Gubałowka, visit to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, built as an offering of thanks for saving the Pope’s life after the assassination

Day 05: Malta – Sicily“After three months we put out to sea in a ship that had wintered on the island. It was an Alexandrian ship with the figurehead of the twin gods Castor and Pollux.” Acts 28:11“We put in at Syracuse and stayed there for three days.” Acts 28:12Transfer to Airport for a flight to Catania, Sicily. Day 06: Catania – Calabbria – Campania – Positano Early morning departure to cross the Straits of Mes-sina via ferry for our trip north along the western coast of Italy through the regions of Calabria and on to Campania. Enroute to the Amafi Coast we will stop in Vietri for a visit to the pottery shops of this famous village prior to our overnight destination in Positano. Dinner and overnight. B D

Day 07: Naples – Herculaneum – Pozzuoli – Gaeta“From there we set sail and arrived at Rhegium. The next day the south wind came up, and on the following day we reached Puteoli.” (Acts 28:13) Depart along the Amalfi coast to Naples with a stop in Herculaneum for, visit this ancient city buried by the same eruption that destroyed Pompeii. Onto Pozzuoli where Apostle Paul landed after leaving Rhegium. Continue of Gaeta for dinner and overnight. B D

Day 08: San Vincenzo After breakfast, depart for San Vincenzo al Volturno for a visit to the Abbey of San Vincenzo. The Abbey dates to 703 A.D. Return to our hotel in Gaeta for dinner and overnight. B D

Day 09: Gaeta – Citta MediovaleToday we tour Gaeta, visit to Monte Orlando, site of a first century B.C. mausoleum, and Montagna

Splicatta’s, monastery. We visit the Citta Mediovale with visits to the Golden Chapel of the Church of the Annunciation and the Doumo. Afternoon is at leisure. Dinner and overnight. B D

Day 10: Rome“And so we came to Rome.” (Acts 28:14) “The brothers there had heard that we were coming, and they traveled as far as the Forum of Appius and the Three Taverns to meet us.
