The main purpose of the European Journal of Psy-
chological Assessment (EJPA) is to present semi-
nal information on both theoretical and applied
developments in the fi eld of psychological as-
sessment. Articles reporting the construction of
new measures or the advancement of existing
measures are given priority.
The journal is directed to practitioners as well as
to academicians: The conviction of its editors is
that the discipline of psychological assessment
should, necessarily and fi rmly, be attached to the
roots of psychological science, while going deeply
into all the consequences of its applied,
practice-oriented development. Psychological
assessment is experiencing a period of renewal
and expansion, attracting more and more atten-
tion from both academic and applied psychology,
as well as from political, corporate, and social
organizations. EJPA provides a meeting point for
this movement, contributing to the scientifi c de-
velopment of psychological assessment and to
communication between professionals and re-
searchers in Europe and worldwide. The journal
presents clearly written original papers, reviews,
and case studies in all domains of psychological
assessment.

tions in psychology and to provide a general plat-
form for communication and cooperation among

Journal of Media Psychology (JMP) is committed
to publishing original, high-quality papers which
cover the broad range of media psychological
research, including various media, applications,
and user groups. It is also open to research from
neighboring disciplines as far as this work ties in
with psychological concepts of the uses and
effects of the media. In particular, it publishes
multidisciplinary papers that refl ect a broader
theoretical and methodological spectrum and
comparative work, e.g., cross-media, cross-
gender, or cross-cultural. Original empirical
studies are accompanied by theoretical and
state-of-the-art review articles. Preregistration
of research plans is now also possible.
JMP builds up on almost 20 years of experience in
publishing high-quality research in the Zeitschrift
für Medienpsychologie (ZMP). While ZMP focused
on German and European media research, JMP
takes up the challenges of the more globalized
media world by offering an international publica-
tion platform with an internationally renowned
team of editors and reviewers ensuring the
highest scientifi c standards.

The Journal of Personnel Psychology is a periodi-
cal dedicated to international research in psy-
chology as it relates to the working environment
and the people who “inhabit” it.
The journal welcomes excellent empirical and
theoretical contributions to basic and applied
research in personnel psychology and related
methodology. Reviews are also welcome. Articles
deal with all fi elds in personnel psychology,
including selection, performance measurement,
motivation, leadership, organizational commit-
ment, personnel development and training, new
test developments, and job analysis. As many top-
ics in personnel psychology are closely related to

The Zeitschrift für Psychologie (ZfP), originally
founded in 1890, is the oldest psychology journal
in Europe and the second oldest in the world. Now
completely in English, ZfP publishes high-quality
research from all branches of empirical psycholo-
gy in four topical issues per year. Each carefully
compiled issue generally consists of one broad
review paper accompanied by original articles
from leading researchers. An experienced inter-
national editorial board and external reviewers
ensure that the journal’s strict peer-review pro-
cess is in keeping with its long and honorable tra-
dition of publishing only the best of psychological
science. ZfP thus brings convenient, cutting-edge
compilations, each covering an area of current
interest.
