Achievements

Challenge: To meet launch date deadline for first SKYNET satellite.

Results: As an Applied Mathematics’ Engineer, I successfully supported the launch of the first SKYNET satellite.

Managed and developed a master development plan to identify the two-to-seven year goals and requirements for the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN).

Supported the launch of a United Kingdom Military Communications Satellite . Managed and performed Advanced Simulation Analysis for a global network of satellite tracking stations and on orbit support

assessments. Managed a $9.2 million launch critical operation FY’89 project which was placed on contract in four months with no disconnects. Successfully interfaced a $400 million British Military Communicatio0ns Satellite called SKYNET with an Air Force Command and Control

System.

Other Achievements:

Math Fair – Newark Board of Education – 1st Place Winner 2000. Developed a spatial model of commercial buildings using K-KNEX rods to teach applied math in metric and spatial relationships.

Selected to Participate in Princeton Mathematical Institute instructed by Professor Paul Forester from a nationwide pool. Less than 10% of applicants are invited to attend this 150 hour seminar course.

Who’s Who in American High School Teachers in 2004 – 2005. Received Certificate of Appreciation from the Future Education Club of USA, Newark Public Schools in 2004 – 2005. New Jersey Institute of Technology Teaching Scholarship recipient in calculus and applied math.

Instructor, Space Division Educational Program

In addition to the engineering assignment, performed course curriculum development and instruction of several core competency courses in algebra, geometry and pre-calculus for the Officer Preparatory Program.

These courses prepared non-commissioned personnel and gave them the skills required to transition to commission officers. The success rate was 85%. Conducted a Teach the Teacher Seminar. Mentored students on the additional roles and requirements of officers.
