LEVITICUS 13:47-54

LEVITICUS 13:47-54

47 When an eruptive affection occurs in a cloth of wool or linen fabric,48 in the warp or in the woof of the linen or the wool, or in a skin or inanything made of skin; 49 if the affection in the cloth or the skin, in thewarp or the woof, or in any article of skin, is streaky green* or red, it isan eruptive affection. It shall be shown to the priest; 50 and the priest, after examining the affection, shall isolate the affected article for sevendays. 51 On the seventh day he shall examine the affection: if theaffection has spread in the cloth—whether in the warp or the woof, or inthe skin, for whatever purpose the skin may be used—the affection is amalignant eruption; it is impure. 52 The cloth—whether warp or woof inwool or linen, or any article of skin—in which the affection is found, shallbe burned, for it is a malignant eruption; it shall be consumed in fire.53 But if the priest sees that the affection in the cloth—whether in warpor in woof, or in any article of skin—has not spread, 54 the priest shallorder the affected article washed, and he shall isolate it for anotherseven days.

GENESIS 1:14-19

GENESIS 1:14-19

14 God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky toseparate day from night; they shall serve as signs for the settimes—the days and the years; 15 and they shall serve as lights inthe expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth.” And it was so.16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to dominate theday and the lesser light to dominate the night, and the stars.17 And God set them in the expanse of the sky to shine upon theearth, 18 to dominate the day and the night, and to separate lightfrom darkness. And God saw that this was good. 19 And there waseven ing and there was morning, a fourth day.

DEUTERONOMY 11:8-12

DEUTERONOMY 11:8-12

8 Keep, therefore, all the Instruction that I enjoin upon youtoday, so that you may have the strength to enter and takepossession of the land that you are about to cross into andpossess, 9 and that you may long endure upon the soil that theEternal swore to your fathers to assign to them and to theirheirs, a land flowing with milk and honey.10 For the land thatyou are about to enter and possess is not like the land of Egyptfrom which you have come. There the grain you sowed had tobe watered *by your own labors,* like a vegetable garden;11 but the land you are about to cross into and possess, a landof hills and valleys, soaks up its water from the rains ofheaven. 12 It is a land which your God the ETERNAL Looks after,on which your God the ETERNAL always keeps an eye, fromyear’s beginning to year’s end.

MICAH 4:1-7

1In days to come, the Mount of GOD’s House will stand firm abovethe mountains, and tower above the hills. The peoples will gaze onit with joy, 2and the many nations will go and will say: “Come, let usgo up to the Mount of the ETERNAL, to the House of the God ofJacob, so that we may be instructed in God’s ways, and that wemay walk in God’s paths.”

For Torah shall come out of Zion, the word of the ETERNAL fromJerusalem. 3So God will judge among the many peoples, andarbitrate for the multitude of nations, however distant. And theyshall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears intopruning hooks. Nation shall not take up sword against nation; neveragain shall they know war. 4But each person shall sit under theirgrapevine or fig tree, with no one to disturb them. For it was theEternal God of Hosts who spoke. 5As all the peoples walk, each inthe names of their gods, so we will walk in the name of the Eternalour God forever and ever.

6On that day —declares the Eternal— 7I will assemble the lame, and will gather the outcast and those I have treated harshly. I willturn the lame into a remnant and the expelled into a populousnation. And the Eternal will reign over them on Mount Zion, nowand for evermore.
