PASTOR’S REPORT

Mother’s Day is always a special day at

Calvary Church. We had many family

members attending with their moms. There

were 562 people present for Morning

Worship, and roses were given to all mothers.

I want to thank Carolyn Grace and Henderson

Flower Shop for helping with our roses. Our music was special

Sunday with the Preschool kids singing. Thank you to Kristen

Davis for leading them. We had piano solos by Kaitlyn Kocher

and Taylor Goss Butler. Hannah and Abbi Smith sang with

Cody Sturdivant playing the guitar. Trenton Owens led our

special prayer for moms. We appreciate all these folks, along

with Brother Steve, for assisting in a special service.

Robert Wallace is taking a mission trip to Belize in June, and

three from our church family - Shawn Dukes, Maggie McMillan

and Kirklynn Usher - will be part of this trip. They will do VBS

outreach. This coming Sunday, May 15, an offering will be

taken at the end of our service for this group.

I want to remind our students of the End of School Year Bash

this coming Saturday, May 14, at Pine Springs. Garrett Lybrand

will share a thought from the Scripture during this fellowship.

Thank you, Ricky Lee and Jana Wylie, for leading out in this

fellowship time.
