When it comes time to putting our homes on the market, we all go to great lengths to get everything as perfect as we can. From the small details, like a new bedspread in the guest bedroom or flowers and a table runner on the dining table, right through to bigger items like new carpet or replacing the front fence.

We all want our homes to look perfect. We want them to scream ‘comfort’ and ‘live-ability’ to Mr and Mrs Right-Buyer.

We tidy-up the garden, we clean and we clean some more, all the while hoping that our efforts get noticed by those buyers and they agree to a great price. We pay attention to those details that we think are important, but let’s be honest, we do them because we are ‘house proud’ and we want anyone who comes through our house to know it the moment they step through the front door.

As we head towards another Christmas, we have only got another few weeks of good selling in front of us, we can often find that our styling takes a festive turn - and that’s fine.
