WEST BENGAL ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION

NOTIFICATION -

NO. 8/WBERC Dated 20-01-2003

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 58 of the Electricity Regulatory Commission Act. 1998 (No. 14 of 1998) and all powers enabling it in that behalf, West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby makes the following Regulations : ,

1. Short title, commencement and interpretation :-

(i) These Regulations may be called the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Second Amendment Regulations, 2003 ;

(ii) These shall deemed to come into force from 03-02-2000 [the date on which the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2000 came into force].

2. After Regulation No. 36(1), the following provision shall be added :- Provided that the Chairman or the Member who bad ceased to be Chairman or the Member of the Commission shall not sign the order.

3. Regulation No. 36(4) of the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2000 is hereby repealed and replaced by the following :- _

36(4)-All final orders of the Commission shall be communicated to the concerned petitioners and the utilities if it is not _the petitioner, under the signature of the Secretary or an Officer empowered in this behalf by the Chairman. The other parties in the proceedings or any other person shall be entitled to inspection and supply of copy of the order subject to the payment of fees and compliance of such other terms as the Commission may direct from time to time and in accordance with these Regulations.
