Flexibilities on admission selection are available as follows:

1. Individual Broad Disciplines (BDs) / degree programmes will accept onerelevant Applied Learning (ApL) subject for meeting the entrancerequirements. An attainment at Attained with Distinction (I) level or above /Attained with Distinction (obtained in 2017 or before) is required.

2. Other Language subjects (i.e. Category C) offered in the HKDSEExamination will be accepted as elective subjects. Grade E or above isrequired.

3. If students have taken both M1 and M2, they will only be considered asone subject and the best grade will be taken into consideration duringadmission selection.

Sho rt De scrip tio nSho rt De scrip tio n The programme is aimed to equip students with the skills needed to developcareers in building services engineering. Students gain a sound knowledge ofthe design, installation and operation of building services systems and learnhow they are integrated within the building structure, how they are coordinatedduring installation and how they operate effectively.

Students also learn to carry out design calculations, undertake appropriatetesting and commissioning, and properly maintain and operate systems.

We develop students' basic supervisory and management skills to allow themto work as subordinates to professional engineers or as supervisors oftechnicians, craftsmen and unskilled workers.

Established in 1981, this well-respected two-year full-time government-fundedprogramme is the oldest building services engineering sub-degree programmein Hong Kong. The programme has won recognition for the quality of itsteaching. It is also the most respected advancement pathway to a buildingservices engineering degree in Hong Kong or the UK.

They gain the knowledge and skills that arenecessary to diagnose visual problems and offer treatment options, which maybe in the form of optical lenses or visual training.

The journey to becoming an eyecare practitioner begins with a strongfoundation in basic life sciences, followed by a thorough grounding in theoptometric sciences. In the second half of the programme, students acquireclinical skills that enable them to effectively manage a wide variety of visualproblems. The five semesters of supervised clinical training in our OptometryClinic and our satellite clinics on real patients give students many opportunitiesto learn to care for patients and consolidate their clinical skills and knowledge.

Throughout the programme, students learn about ethical, professional and legalissues in preparation for clinical practice.
