This Week’s Happenings…
Communion Sunday: This Sunday we will celebrate communion. We ask you to examine yourself, and
if there is anything in your life hindering your fellowship with our Lord or another Christian, we urge you
to take care of that this week. Then, focusing on the Lord’s great grace, let us receive the Lord’s Supper
with an attitude of gratitude for all He has done for us.
Library Reminder: When checking out a book from our library, please remember to leave the card from
the book on the library desk with your first and last name written on it. Also, when returning books, please
leave the book on the library desk—do not put it back on the shelves. There are many books, CDs, and
DVDs that are missing or have been checked out for a long period of time; if you find any in your home,
please be sure to return them so that others may enjoy them, too. Thank you!
Cadets: Do you have a heart to help boys Grades 1-5 grow in Christ and also in hands-on skills?
A male leader is needed for our Wednesday night Cadets program that begins this fall and continues
throughout the schoolyear. If you are interested in volunteering contact Carley Piotrowski at 231-942-3170
GEMS: Volunteers are needed to help during our Wednesday Night GEMS program this fall! The motto
of GEMS is ‘Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior’. Join other volunteers in helping girls from the com-
munity and our church learn more about our great God! Contact Alisa Anscomb to volunteer or for more
information at 231-429-4069 or [email protected].
Bible Bee Summer Camp – Please continue to pray for our Local Bible Bee families as they wrap up the
final day of our annual Bible Bee Summer Camp today. May God use these three days to create a hunger
for Him, and unity and joy in His body as He works mightily in each person participating.
Mark Your Calendars for Our Church Picnic!: Our annual church picnic will be on Sunday, August 27,
5pm, at the Missaukee County Park Pavilion. Plan to enjoy some good food and fellowship with
your church family! The main dish will be provided, but bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share.
