Dolphins Whales & Other Tales is a celebration or our oceans and the terrestrial wildlife of Western Australia through the lens of one of Australia’s most renowned wildlife cinematographers Leighton De Barros. From the largest of all the animals on earth the Blue whale, to Humpback whales, Southern right whales, Pilot whales, Bottlenose dolphins, Great white sharks, Tiger sharks, sea lions and other marine animals, Leighton has filmed them all. On land he has filmed snakes, crocodiles and endangered animals such as the Black Cockatoo, the Mallefowl and the Bilby to name a few. Proudly brought to you by The Perth Advocates For The Earth, join Leighton as he shows his footage from over a quarter of a century of wildlife filming, learn about the unique stories of how he captured the footage and see some incredible underwater footage that has never been screened before. Special guest speaker Kevin McGinity from Sea Shepherd will also speak about his incredible experience aboard the Steve Irwin in the campaign against the Japanese whalers in Antarctica.
