Our large tonnage centrifugal chillers are market leaders and provide our customers with many advantages such as open drive motors, which provide the flexibility to use alternative energy sources to drive the compressors and the use of direct high voltage power supplies, which eliminate the need for expensive step down transformers.Johnson Controls designs and manufactures a wide range of York products for the HVACR market, which provide cooling from 50 kW to 30,000 kW.These products include water-cooled and air cooled chillers, heat pumps and absorption chillers. AIR SIDE PRODUCTS

Under its York brand, Al Salem Johnson Controls manufactures a large range of high quality products such as air handling units; fan coils units, under floor air delivery systems and innovative car park ventilation systems, all of which meet the challenging requirements of the Middle East region.

Air Handling Units

Air handling units are manufactured in the Middle East region at our production facility in Jeddah, KSA, which conforms to Eurovent, ARI, CE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSA18001 standards. These units are custom built to exactly meet the dimensional and performance requirements

for new installations as well as the replacement AHU market. York air handling units can be manufactured in many configurations, with a wide selection of components & materials including a full range of energy recovery systems such as enthalpy thermal wheels, plate heat exchangers, heat pipes and dehumidification systems. The units are designed using our advanced computer selection software, which ensures cost effective matching of all components to satisfy the specified conditions.All units are constructed from extruded aluminum profiles and have flush fitting panels and doors. All panels are completely removable, providing excellent levels of access. In situations where the space constraints restrict the module size, units also can be delivered in a ‘knock-down’ format for assembly on site.

Car Park Ventilation

With its York brand, Al Salem Johnson Controls has been a pioneer in the specialized field of car park ventilation. With many years of experience with the use of jet fans in numerous tunnel projects Johnson Controls has developed the York ‘Jet Fan Car Park Ventilation System’; which distribute air throughout the car park by using short silent bursts of air from the fans, eliminating requirements for costly, intrusive and complex duct work systems. Fresh air can be supplied and extracted from the car parks using our comprehensive range of axial flow fans. Under Floor Air Delivery Systems

Many buildings now utilize a raised access floor to accommodate power, data and telecommunication requirements. To maximize the benefits of the raised floor concept, Johnson Controls have developed ‘FlexSys’ an under floor air delivery system where the entire floor space becomes a pressurized plenum. The system features our ‘FlexSys’ terminal boxes, which can be installed anywhere within the raised floor grid. The floor boxes are easy to move, so that when the office

layout changes, the floor boxes can be easily relocated to suit the new layout.The ‘FlexSys’ system also provides the occupant with improved comfort and air quality as the clean conditioned air is delivered directly into the breathing zone, and not blown down from overhead, as with conventional systems.

Surgical Air Handling Units and Surgical Ceilings

Johnson Controls new range of York Surgical Ceilings and Air Handling Units, ensure purity of air in surgical rooms and operation theatres. The surgical ceiling maintains a higher class of aseptic nucleus of particulate cleanliness class conforming to ISO 5 around the patient during an operation. This minimizes the risk of patients catching infections during operations. The increased purity during the operation also reduces the time required for sanitizing the operation theaters between operations. York surgical air handling

units enable the changing of the operation theatre environment to suit the operating procedure.

Fan Coil Units

A full range of York fan coil units is available from Al Salem Johnson Controls for use within residential and commercial developments. Exposed units with decorative casings can be located directly in the conditioned space or concealed units can be located above the ceiling and connected to distribution duct work.York fan coil units feature high cooling outputs with low noise levels and come complete with a full range of accessories including drain pans, supply and return plenums, filters and factory fitted controls.

Al Salem Johnson Controls designs, manufactures and distributes a full range of York unitary cooling and heating systems for residential purposes, such as villas, apartments and light commercial buildings, which consist of shopping malls, restaurants and shops

Our comprehensive range of residential products, includes duct and packaged air conditioning systems, decorative (ductless) mini split systems and room air conditioners (RAC’s).Decorative splits include high walls, floor / ceiling (convertible), cassettes, floor free-standing units and multi splits. Products are offered with refrigerant R 22, or ‘Ozone Friendly’ refrigerants R 407C and R 410A. Residential products incorporate hermetically sealed reciprocating, rotary or scroll compressors depending upon the cooling capacity and application. Products are available with cooling capacities ranging from 9000 Btu/h (2.6kW) to 600,000 Btu/h (176kW).

PACKAGE UnITS

Al Salem Johnson Controls also offers an exciting range of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) products that complement our traditional range of residential products. Indoor air quality is a top priority and the removal of odors, dust and allergens is of paramount importance, especially in conditioned areas that have limited or, no fresh air.Our York branded range of IAQ products not only filters the air and removes odors, but actually kills airborne germs. IAQ products

The YORK® Variable Refrigerant Flow System offered by Al Salem Johnson Controls uses the advanced digital scroll technology. We offer the VRF system for both high ambient and standard ambient countries. The refrigerant used are R-22 for high ambient and R-410a for standard ambient. The system covers a wide range of duct and ductless application for residential and commercial applications.

Biomass energy refers to renewable energy stored from the sun that and found in plant and animal waste by process of photosynthesis; which is passed along to animals as it is consumed. Johnson Controls provides biomass energy solutions designed to unlock this energy.

Biomass energy can be harnessed through:

● Biomass Boilers - In a typical installation, biomass by-products are burned or raised to very high temperatures to release the chemical energy as heat. The heat is used to boil water in biomass boilers, creating steam. The steam is then used to turn turbines and generators to produce electricity.

● Biomass Gasification - When biomass is heated with little or no oxygen it gasifies to a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen known as synthesis gas. Like natural gas, synthesis gas can be used as a low BTU fossil fuel replacement in applications such as steam or electric generation. Gasification systems typically produce lower emissions and thus need less pollution control equipment

DIGESTER GAS TO EnERGY

The most popular digester gas technology converts wastewater or sewage treatment gas to electricity, employinginternal–combustionenginesthatrunagenerator to produce the electricity. This electricity is used to power internal operations, while the excess is sold back to the grid or utilized elsewhere. Heat generated by the engines can be recovered and used to heat digesters and plant facilities.
