JOHN RINGO
Johnny Ringo’s death to this day
is still a mystery. There are
theories as to how he died but
there is no proof. The only
logical representation of his
death would be suicide from
looking at the bullet wound and
exit wound on his head. He was
found dead in Turkey Valley
Canyon at the same spot he was
found dead.

I M P O RTA N T L I F E E V E N T SWhy Johnny Ringo is Important
Johnny Ringo is connected to expansion of the USA because he himself moved during this time period. His family originated from Indiana but eventually they moved to OK and TX during this time which showed that they were apart of this time. He was connected with the wild west, because he lived the ‘life of a cowboy’ and in Tombstone they even called him the ‘king of the cowboys’ because he was the most deadliest gunfighter in that area. His life also had all of the aspects of a cowboy; loneliness, alcohol, and gunfights.
Mason County War
John Ringo first moved to Mason County and joined a gang which participated in vigilant acts.
