Bernstein’s most beloved Broadway score comes to life performed by the Pops in all its dramatic richness. A cast of Broadway singers join the orchestra for this concert presentation of America’s own Romeo and Juliet, separated by the racial and social strife of 1950s New York, which remains relevant today. From the first notes to the final breath, this landmark musical is one of the greatest love stories of all time, and Bernstein’s score, with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, is regarded as one of the best ever written.
