• Clinical Coordinator sends info– Clinical handbook– Objectives– Assessment forms– Preceptor Orientation/Development package

Discusses with student: objectives, expectations and the assessment process. Asks student for thier agenda

Reviews: (prior to learner arrival) clinical handbook and clinical objectives and assessment criteria rubric

Post placement:provides program with feedback.

Weekly/biweekly debrief: highlighting good and areas for improvement. Action plan and student feedback.

Orientation: facility, staff, hours of operation, policies and work area

Daily routines: morning topic of interest, case reviews,10 min teaching moment

Last day: complete the student assessment and provides feedback.
