“You, son of man, I have appointed watchman for the House of Israel.” EZEKIEL 33:7 Many of us are generous with our gifts. However, how often is our generosity at the minimum level required? We do just enough or give just enough. Remember, the Lord calls us to be Stewards, generous with all the gifts He has given us, to grow them and return them with increase.

“I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord. Plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope.” (Ps 38) As we send our children to their schools, let them know God is their companion. Go before our Eucharistic Jesus and entrust them to His Sacred Heart. Ask our children to keep God in their curriculum. ADORERS, AS WE OFFER PRAYERS FOR THOSE WE LOVE, LET US NOT FORGET TO PRAY FOR OURSELVES. PRAY THAT WE ACCEPT THE PLAN GOD HAS FOR US AND, WITH FAITH FOLLOW THAT PLAN FOR OURSELVES AND OUR CHILDREN.
NIGHT OWLS WANTED
We need Adorers to spend one hour with Jesus in the wee hours of the morning. If you are a late shift worker, or just have trouble sleeping, please consider the sacrifice of late night Adoration.

Bishop Dennis Sullivan offers these thoughts on the Texas hurricane victims. “Let us keep the victims of Hurricane Harvey in our thoughts and prayers. May God comfort those who have lost loved ones; help those whose homes and businesses have been destroyed; encourage a generous response from around the country, assist the first
responders and bring peace and comfort to all who have been affected. Thank you for your generous offerings for the victims of this unprecedented disaster.
Sincerely in Christ, Most Reverend Dennis J. Sullivan, D.D.

Please join us on Wednesday, September 13th following the 7:45 a.m. Mass to pray the rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima in this centennial year and to hear the messages she gave the world through three small shepherd children in 1917. In accordance to the plenary indulgence guidelines set out by Pope Francis in this 100th anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions at Fatima, we will continue to meet for the recitation of the Rosary following the 7:45 a.m. Mass on the 13th of each month through the 13th of October. Catholics can obtain a plenary indulgence this year marking the 100th anniversary of the Fatima apparitions. Pope Francis granted the indulgence opportunity. There are three ways to obtain the plenary indulgence after also meeting the ordinary conditions for an indulgence (going to confession, receiving Communion, detaching interiorly from sin and praying for the intentions of the Pope.) One of the ways the Pope offers this indulgence opportunity is to: Pray before any statue of Our Lady of Fatima To the faithful who visit with devotion a statue of Our Lady of Fatima solemnly exposed for public veneration in any church, oratory or proper place during the days of the anniversary of the apparitions, on the 13th of each month from May to October, 2017 and there devoutly participate in a celebration or prayer in honor of the Virgin Mary. They must also pray the Our Father, recite the Creed and invoke Our Lady of Fatima. Source: www.catholicspirit.com
