Now here is my secret: I tell it to you with anopenness of heart that I doubt I shall everachieve again, so I pray that you are in a quietroom as you hear these words. My secret is thatI need God that I am sick and can no longer
make it alone. I need God to help me give, because I no longer seem to be capable of giving; to help me be kind, as I no longer seemcapable of kindness; to help me love, as I seembeyond being able to love.Douglas Coupland, Life after God (New York: Simon & Schuster 1994), 359

Its not healthy to live life as a successio
isolated little cool moments. Either our lbecome stories, or theres just no way to through them. We know that is why tof us left our lives behind us and came to desert to tell stories and to make our own
worthwhile tales in the process.Douglas Coupland, Generation X (New York: St Martins Press 1991), 8

I think we are back to what is called square onemay timidly admit that we are living in apostolic tim
times where the cloth is being woven. A risky time iapostolic mission, where we have to tell one another of our hope, join with each other in the expression of
strength of our faith, telling one another the questionshave in order to find together the answers that the wopeople, are expecting from us as disciples of Christ.
