Page 4: John 4:10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given

We have all been gifted…

1 Corinthians 12:7&12, Now to each one the manifestation of the spirit is given for the common good. All these are the work of the one and the same Spirit, and He gives them to each one, just as He determines.

Romans 12:6, We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.

Ephesians 4:7-8, But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men.

How do we know what they are?

Knowing what you like to do and what you are good at are excellent indicators of what gift(s) God has blessed you with, Proverbs 22:6 speaks to this in regards to our children…

Others often help us to see what our gifts are…

A spiritual, or strengths, inventory is a great way to help you focus on your God given abilities, your GIFT from God…

Imagine a church where…

Ephesians 2:10, For we are God’s Workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God has blessed us with the skills, abilities, and talents needed to serve Him through our service to each other…

How would things be different if we were all using our gifts…

Page 23: John 4:10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given

Imagine a church where…

Hebrews 13:20&21, May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

God hasn’t asked us to do anything without providing us with everything…

Page 24: John 4:10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given

What happens if we don’t know?

We can’t be faithful with what God has blessed us with…

Serving God may become a miserable task, serving God should not be a CHORE…

Our joy is stolen…

But worse than all of that…

Page 25: John 4:10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given

Ephesians 4:12&13, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and becoming mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Verse 16, From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Each One…

1 Corinthians 12:12-13, The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body…

If you haven’t been baptized yet, you’re not one of the Each Ones that God has gifted…
