John 14:1“Let not your heart be troubled. Believe

in God; believe also in me.”

John 14:2-3“In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go

and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that

were I am you may be also.”

John 14:4-6“And you know the way to where I am

going.” Thomas said to him “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No

one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:7“If you had known me, you would have

known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

John 14:8-9Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the

Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the

Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

John 14:10-11“Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I

say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the

Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works

themselves.”

John 14:12-14“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and

greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever

you ask in my name this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask

me anything in my name, I will do it.”

King of War vs. King of Peace

Jesus……is peace, because He is God

John 14:1“Let not your heart be troubled. Believe

in God; believe also in me.”

2 Thessalonians 3:16aNow may the Lord of peace himself give you

peace at all times in every way.

John 14:10-11“Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I

say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the

Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works

themselves.”

Isaiah 9:6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;

and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called

Wonderful Counselor, Might God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus……is peace, because He is God

…brings peace by defeating sin

John 14:4-6“And you know the way to where I am

me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I

have overcome the world.”

Jesus……is peace, because He is God

Psalm 85:8Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his

people, to his saints but them not turn back to folly.

Matthew 11:28-30“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy

laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is

easy, and my burden is light.”

Jesus……is peace, because He is God

Romans 15:13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in Hope.

Philippians 4:6-7do not be anxious about anything, but in

everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made

known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your

hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Jesus……empowers us to live through peace

…empowers us to share peace

Colossians 3:15-16And let the peace of Christ rule in your

hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of

Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual

songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Colossians 3:17And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,

giving thanks to God the father through him.
