Joel Goddard This is the guitar that I made with glass. I made this because I play guitar on a regular basis and I am interested in the art of Lutherie. This ornament took two classes to prepare. I made this piece as a tribute to the compositions of David Gilmour. This is and Abstract Piece, Ive been told it looks like a potato. Materials needed Glass Soldering iron Copper foil Solder Flux Glass cutters Step 1 Cut out segments of glass which can be put together to form the final image. Step 2 Tightly Cover the edges of the cut glass with copper foil. Step 3 Apply flux to the copper foil which is rapped around the edges of the glass. Final step Put the glass pieces together and connect them using solder and the soldering iron, then wait for the solder and the glass to cool down.
