American Roots and Blues Artists Joe Filisko and Eric Noden release 2 New Albums Joe Filisko and Eric Noden are pleased to announce the release of two new albums for 2015. The first album “On the Move” by Joe Filisko and Eric Noden features new songs that draw on 1920's-40's American styles of blues, folk and ragtime. Just a few of Joe and Eric's influences include Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, Sonny Boy Williamson and Big Bill Broonzy. This recording follows 2012's release "Missed Train Blues" and continues the tradition of creating new music in an older style. Upright bassist and Delmark recording artist Beau Sample (Fat Babies) joins the duo on 6 of the 12 tracks. The second album "Solid Ground" by Eric Noden Band features Eric & Joe in a band setting backed by two of Chicago's top rhythm players. Kenny "Beedy Eyes" Smith, the son of blues legend Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, is featured on drums while Chicago blues veteran E.G. McDaniel provides electric bass for the album. The recording is strongly rooted in the blues but also shows the influence of rock and funk music. The electrified approach shows another side of the blues duo and is the first release featuring Eric on the electric guitar. The project was supported in part by a grant from the city of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. Joe Filisko and Eric Noden's high energy performances continue to captivate audiences at festivals and concert venues around the world. 2015 tour dates include Australia, Germany, France the US and more. website rootsduo.com facebook facebook.com/rootsduo Contact Eric Noden [email protected]
