Supply List

Materials Needed:

Art journal, Watercolor, Mixed Media paper **You can have

this already pre-painted randomly or paint it during the lesson

2 -3 extra colors of paint including fluid titanium white

Assorted permanent black ink pens. I like to use Pitt Pens or

Micron Pens

Assorted pencils (regular pencils, Stabilo Marks All in black and

graphite)

Assorted paint pens (any colors you like but ensure you have

white and black in the mix).

Neocolor II Water Soluble crayons

Optional: Collage material and gel medium

Grab your favorite Pens,Pencils, Paint MarkersAnd get ready toplay!

Tip: I like to have an assortment of colors and tips for both paint pens, markers, and regular pens. An artist loves having options!!

Jodi Ohl is a self-taught mixed media artist, originally from Dunkirk, NY, who now resides in Aberdeen, NC.

Having left her corporate job as a bank manager in 2011 to pursue her artistic career full time, Jodi has built a body of work that is known for its distinctive texture, and bold color combinations which are often whimsical or abstract compositions, as well as motivational in nature.

Her art appeals to those that seem to be young at heart and who appreciate the positive side of life whether communicated through words, colors, or composition. Published in over 30 international mixed media magazines such as Cloth Paper Scissors, Somerset Studios, Artful Blogging, Artful Journaling, Somerset Holidays and Celebrations, and Cloth Paper Scissors Studios, as well as a contributor to five mixed media books.

In 2014 -2016 Jodi has had three paintings featured in Incite, a yearly compilation of the best of mixed media artists. Incite 2 -4 have been Edited by Tonia Jenny of North Light Books. November 2016, Jodi was featured in a 10 page artist profile in Somerset Studios, chronicling her journey as child through her current status of author, instructor, and artist.

Jodi enjoys writing about her art and sharing the love of healing and motivation through creativity. She is represented by regional galleries in North Carolina and several others along the East Coast. Her first book, “Abstracts in Acrylic and Ink” was released in December 2016 by North Light Books.

In addition, Jodi is a popular mixed media art teacher online and in person, teaching at both large and small local and national workshops around the US.

When not painting, she enjoys time with her two sons, Josh, 16 and Zach, 22, as well as other friends and family.
