Programme Day 2/ • Follow-up on Day 1 • The job application • The invisible job market • Unsolicited applications – the general attitudes of compa- nies – data from our recruitment analysis • These are the companies that employ English- speaking candidates • Candidates work individually with their lists of companies. Assignment for the next session – prepare a list of 20-25 companies that you consider relevant. Programme Day 3/ • Preparing telephone calls – candidates will prepare flow charts/manuscripts for effective and positive dialogues. • Practising your call • Making your first calls. • Mails for the prospective companies will be prepared on Day 4. Assignment for the next session – make calls to a further 5 companies. Programme Day 4/ • Follow-up on appointments made with companies • The job interview • Practising the job interview • Networking. Assignment for the next session – map your personal network / contact an additional 5 companies. Programme Day 5/ • Follow-up on Day 4 • How to plan your time and work with specific goals in your job application • Establishing self-contained networking groups • Follow-up • Candidates will prepare a plan of action for the future and receive critical sparring. Programme Day 6/7 We will work with the skills acquired during the first 5 days e.g. contacting companies. The objective is for every participant to contact at least 5 companies per day. A Ballisager consultant will be present and offer feedback and guidance with the job search in general or particular challenges. TARGET GROUP This course is aimed at jobseekers with an international background, typically students from UCN or Aalborg University. THE COURSE We are launching a course tailored to help the candidate obtain employment as quickly as possible. The course will involve a total of 7 days’ training over a three-week period. There will be assignments to complete during the remaining days. THE PROGRAMME
