JOB MOTIVATION FOR GRADUANTS

This is a season of graduation where most of the universities are releasing thousands of graduates

to the job market. Most of them are ill prepared on what to expect in the corporate world and end

up frustrated. With my 3 years’ experience since I graduated and experience of supervising more

than 70 staffs, below are some of my insights though I may be long, just my views.

Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been

put in every heart.Whatever you choose to do for living represents you in one way or another.

This means that your job has essentially become a huge part of your life. You wake up and go to

work with the goal to do some great work and hopefully change the world in some way, no

matter how big or small.

Find joy in everything you choose to do. Every job, relationship, home, it’s your

responsibility to love it, or change it. The definition of the word ‘job’ should be ‘something

that you enjoy doing’. But since sometimes there might be parts of the job that don’t exactly

thrill you, you need to engage yourself in the activity to make it more interesting. Try to figure

out what makes you motivated to work in the first place and focus on that. If, however, there’s

anything you don’t like, then change the way you work or make a suggestion to your boss.

Hard work doesn’t guarantee success, but improves its chances. This is to remind yourself

that although success doesn’t come easily, working towards it is the only thing you can do.

What’s most important is to remember that you need to give 100 percent to your job and while

you are it have fun by exploring all of the opportunities available to learn.

Work hard and become a leader, be lazy and become a slave. Even though you are not in

danger of becoming a slave in the sense of being owned by a someone, this quote does have a

point. Stick it on your office wall and you will be reminded of what it feels to be a real winner. It

suggests that you will only become a leader and an expert at what you do if you work hard. But

if you are lazy you will hinder your prospects of becoming a leader and getting a chance to prove

your talent.

The best preparation for good work tomorrow is to do good work today.Think about what

you have done today that has helped you learn something new. Have you helped any of your

colleagues out? Have you finally managed to confront your boss over an argument you two had

the last week? Whatever it is, you should be proud of making a difference.

The supreme accomplishment is to blur the line between work and play. The secret to

enjoying your job is blurring the line between what makes you a true professional and what

brings you closer to your inner child. So just because you wear a tie, doesn’t mean that you can’t

have fun at work. Work hard and do not forget to play.

Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth

doing. Obviously nobody said life was going to be easy. But, if you find the right opportunity

that will allow you to chase your dreams you should do your best to achieve them. In that sense,

finding meaning in what you do is the ultimate solution to enjoying your work. Likewise, there’s

no point in doing a job that you don’t enjoy. If you think that you no longer find your job

fulfilling it may be time to move on. don’t ever underestimate the power of words. A few words

have the power to change your mood giving you the right spark of enthusiasm to get you up and

running. This way you get reminded everyday how you can get closer to success by giving 100

percent. Always be positive and optimistic, have some motivation and inspiration moment every

day and declare that though things may not have worked well yesterday, today is absolutely my

day.

In conclusion, every day you wake up, treat that day as the best day of your life and be the best,

get the best out of it and say, “Today will be my day, I am the best me there is, I know that I’m a

winner, I can do it, I know I can. God will always be with me.”
