    Closing Date: Thursday 19 NovemberWildlife Photographer of the Year Brand Development ManagerAs part of the Business and Commercial Department within the Public Engagement Group (PEG) thepost holder will report to the Head of Image Resources and manage a team of three staff in theCompetition Office.

    The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Brand Development Manager is responsible for the overall

    development and management of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Brand. Responsibilitiesinclude direct responsibility for the competition and development of the competition with our jointowner BBC Wildlife Magazine; as well as, the team and financial management and business strategicplanning of the competition office.

    The post holder will also have indirect responsibility but authority for the Wildlife Photographer of theYears presence through the website, merchandise, publications, touring exhibition, sponsors andpartners. In order to develop the brand as defined, close liaison and negotiation with internal andexternal partners will be required.

    relevant experience)

    1. To develop the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Brand into a household name2. To lead in delivering our aspirations for Wildlife Photographer of the Year (see Strategy

    Summary on final page) working across Retail, Publishing, Touring Exhibitions, ExhibitionDevelopment and Licensing as required

    3. Work with the Head of Image Resources, understand and manage the relationship betweenthe Natural History Museum and the BBC to the benefit of both organisations to oversee thedevelopment of the Competition

    4. Manage, motivate and develop the Wildlife Photographer of the Year team (2 full time staff,and 1 Press Office who reports to the Media Relations Manager)

    5. Liaise with Press, Marketing and Interactive Media to collaborate in delivering timely andeffective communications and Marketing Plan to extend the Wildlife Photographer of the YearBrand

    6. To initiate, develop and manage partnerships with external organisations to fulfil the StrategicVision for Wildlife Photographer of the Year

    7. Produce the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Business Plan, analyse market data andcompile monthly reports

    8. Participate in the organisation of the exhibition in conjunction with the Wildlife Photographer ofthe Year Project Group; leading on the protection and representation of The Brand

    9. Set and implement long term work plans, working in close association with other departmentsto plan in accordance with their schedules and budgets.

    10. Work with Interactive Media to develop the Wildlife Photographer of the Year website and

    administrative infrastructure and liaise with Touring Exhibitions to maximise the internationalexposure of The Brand11. Act as Spokesperson for Wildlife Photographer of the Year; proactively promoting Wildlife

    Photographer of the Year across all media as well as, internally12. Other duties as required
