become employable and independent, and help prepare them for success in life by securing meaningful jobs or opportunities for further education.

Who to Refer?• Alexa is 18 and is struggling to complete her HS diploma. She is a C average

student, even with her IEP accommodations. She still wants a college

experience.

• Tyler is 17 and has struggled with school, especially reading-heavy subjects.

He works much better with his hands. He’ll come to school on the days he

has shop class.

• Dante is 20 and works 2 part-time after school to support his family, but has a

hard time keeping a job.

• Sierra is 19 and a single mother of two children. She would like additional

training in the medical field, but she cannot afford daycare.

• Carrie is 17 and does not have a stable or supportive family and therefore

struggles with school. She has so much potential!

• Contact an Admission Counselor (all JC counselors are here today)

• Bring documentation and conduct interview• After application is submitted, 3 to 5 week

review period for the center to prepare to receive Alexa.

• During that time, the wellness center, education director, and/or center admissions will call her.
