surfing paradise in Bali. Some of the beach
found in Jimbaran are full of surfers while

have surfing as their sport. The number of
local people from around Jimbaran village
goes into surfing increasing from year to
year. Much of the Surfing Competition in
Bali also held around the beach of Jimbaran

Surfing Equipment
There are several things you need to bring if
you wants to have your surf vacation in
Jimbaran. The first is to bring your own
boards. usually the custom at airport will
accept two to three boards while more than
that will trigger a warning that you tend to
sell them. The best board to use is the 7 foot
mark board which is perfect for the waves
around Jimbaran.
Reasonable boards can be get around Kuta
or around the surf shops found near to the
Sing Dewa Ruci junction. Remember to
bring your board cover or buying board
including its cover will be wise as you will
need to hikes to reach some of the surfing
spots here.
Boards repair mostly available in Kuta that
is why it is advisable that you bring your
own wax in case you need to fix your
boards.
Last thing is bring a pair of reefs boots, betadine and
some surgical spirit and cotton buds if you cuts your
own because you will be traveling to remote area with
hard to access places.
Equipment Rental
There are some surfboards or boggie boards available
around Padang Padang beach though it is recommended
to rent them in Kuta with good quality and prices. Some
of the surf shops around Uluwatu or Balangan beach
also rent boards.
Surfing Lessons
There are many surfing lessons in Bali though most of
them centered on Kuta beach because the waves
conditions suitable for beginner but some beach like
Balangan beach also suitable for beginner. Course
around here can take frm $50 to $130 for a three day
course.

Another great spot getting crowded. This spot seem like
already abandoned by many surfers as it must go
through Pecatu Indah resort and fully packed with local
tourists. But you can get a 5 fot swell on low tide. A
solid peak offers a short, sharp right and longer tubular left.
Balangan ( See Balangan Surf Map )
The best spot today with fast left over a shallow reef,
unsurfable at low tide, good at mid tide with anything
over a 4 foot swell. With an 8 foot swell this can be a classic wave.
South Coast ( See Nyang Nyang Surf Map )
The beach around Nyang Nyang beach with its right
hand reef break, The Green Ball which is another right which works on small to medium swell.

Places to surf in Jimbaran
Uluwatu ( See Uluwatu Surf Map )
Uluwatu has many different breaks. Some of
the known breaks such as The Corner, The
Peak, The Racetrack, Outside Corner, The Bommie.
Padang Padang ( See Padang Padang Surf Map )
North of Uluwatu, this left hand breaks
located on super shallow beach and
sometimes can be a very demanding breaks
from mid to high tide.
Impossibles ( See Impossible Surf Map )
Located north of Padang Padang spot. This
spot offer outside reef break with three
shifting peaks. Fast left hand tube sections that can join up if the conditions are perfect.
Bingin ( See Bingin Surf Map )
Once a secret spot but becoming croowded
by the day today. Located north of Padang Padang, best at mid tide with a 6 foot swell.
