3G is good for when a WiFi is not near. $29 a month unlimited.

3G plan does NOT work overseasChoices: a country SIM card or a

special plan, which I bought VERY EXPENSIVE PLAN!

The international “Data Roaming” plan worked but very very slow

Workflow was to turn on, download emails, turn off data roaming

Read emails, answer, then quickly turn data roaming back on

Purchased a 60 cents a minute WiFi plan

VERY SLOWHave to work quickly like

experiences in Venice

Still in testing It works for asking and answering

discussion postsNot for any Bb heavy lifting!

Near a wifi? GREAT! Safari, mail, all work fine and fast.

3G is slower if not near wifi but works. More and more apps for iPad are going

up. EASY to carry. Light in weight. Connected to my email, contacts, and

calendar through MobileMe (all of my computers sync up nicely)

Easy to read books and magazines and do web research

NOT a replacement for laptop or desktop!

A big harder to carry than an iPhone/iPod but text easier to see

On screen keyboard not as easy as regular keyboard (but can hook a Bluetooth keyboard to it)

iPad app not quite readyCan write, but not like on computer
