They also were hit and made fun of because of how they looked. JIM CROW LAWS Separate But Equal This is Powerful to me because it is stating that African Americans will get stuff equal and separate but they wont have it cleaned or nice it could be all nasty but it didnt matter to the whites. JIM CROW LAWS You dont have the ride the Jim Crow Bus This was important because African Americans because they could not sit were they want they would have to sit in the back and if they didnt they would get arrested.
