There’s a school trip to Stratford-upon-Avon next term. John wants to go.
Didn’t he go to Stratford-upon-Avon with the school last year?
No, he went on a history trip to Warwick Castle. He bought you a T-shirt with a picture of the castle on it. Do you remember?
Oh yes, I remember! How much does the trip to Stratford-upon-Avon cost?
His English teacher, Miss Peters, said it will cost £30 each, but that includes £3 for the school bus, a trip on the river, a visit to a museum and a theatre ticket.
That’s quite cheap. Julie’s school trip to France is going to cost £300! Do you know which play he will see at the theatre?
Yes, he’s going to see Romeo and Juliet because he’s studying it at school.
6P47385A
When I was at school, the Shakespeare play that we had to study was Julius Caesar. I thought it was so boring! I think Macbeth was his best play. I prefer it to Romeo and Juliet.
I know nothing about Julius Caesar but I think Macbeth is horrible! Too many murders! Romeo and Juliet is much better, but very sad at the end. I love the film with Leonardo DiCaprio playing Romeo.
He was good in Titanic too, which was on TV last night – again! So, John needs to go on this trip.
Yes, I think everyone in the class is going.
We’ll pay for the trip but if he wants extra spending money he has to earn it. He can start by cleaning the car.
Good idea. He can clean the car after school tomorrow.
