    SCF jet fans are produced only in reversing operation version, DN 315, 355, 400 mm.

    Efficient ventilation (air movement not only within the range of air jet of the grilles

    but within the whole cubature of the protected space),

    Short response time in case of the fire,

    Fast achievable, effective smoke removal in the whole cubature of protected space,

    Easy assembly,

    Easy balancing and calibration,

    Jet fan (impulse) ductless ventilation systems are usually applied for large volume spaces. Properly designed jet fan system can be used for:

    I. Comfort ventilation : is realized during standard operation of the system when main purpose is to remove pollutants and harmful substances (e.g. aldehydes, oxides etc.),

    II. Smoke and heat control : is realized in case of a fire when main purpose is to remove smoke and hot smoky gases in order to reduce air temperature, enable safe evacuation and improve conditions of rescue parties,

    III. Make-up air supply : consists in supply design volumetric flow of compensativeair.

    Jet fan ventilation system provides (depending on applied automatics) number of important advantages in comparison to typical ducted smoke extraction systems i.e.:

    Equipment:? two-speeds motors, three-phase motors 400V/50Hz. International Protection IP55, cooling method

    IC418. Fans F300 and F400 use insulation class H motors and Single-purpose fans use insulation F class motors,

    elliptic attenuators L=800 at the inlet and discharge - standard,

    ? ?safety nets at the inlet and discharge - standard,

    ? ?deflectors – option.

    Intended use:•

    ? single-purpose fans : intended for comfort ventilation and make-up air supply, operating temperature 40°C,

    ? fans certified in accordance with standard PN-EN 12101-3:2010: – – intended for comfort ventilation and smoke and heat control systems at the maximum

    operating temperature of 300°C for 60 minut - Class F300: CWU 1448-CPR-0464/W

    – intended for comfort ventilation and smoke and heat control systems at the maximum operating temperature of 400°C for 120 min - Class F400: CWU 1488-CPR-0465/W

    The casing of SCF type jet fans is made of galvanized steel, with two mounting brackets. The impeller is welded from alloy steel. Installation box is mounted on the fan casing.

    In the standard application, the 800 mm long, T type silencers are installed at the inlet and discharge of all SCF type jet fans. The casing of the silencers has elliptical shape in order to minimize the distance between the fan and the ceiling.

    Normally, there are S type safety nets mounted at the ends of the silencers. The D type deflectors can be provided as the additional equipment.

    Deflector is used to direct the air jet in order to avoid the obstacles e.g. ceiling joists. Additionally deflectors can be used to prevent the Coandã effect (the tendency of the air jet to be attracted to a nearby surface) by appropriate directing the air jet.
