Justin & Jessie“Boy, am I staaaarving!” Jeremy said as he lifted his fork and prepared to

plunge it into the cake for a monstrous bite.

“Uh! Uh!” Emily said. “That cake is for Mom’s meeting tomorrow.”

“But I’m starving,” Jeremy whined. “And I love chocolate cake.”

Oh no! Will Jeremy give in to temptation and eat the cake even though he knows he shouldn’t? Find out if Jeremy ruins his

mom’s cake in “Bible Verses & Chocolate Cake.”

What You Heard In the Word• Jesus was tempted three times by the

devil, and he overcame each temptation by speaking the Word of God.

• We can fight against temptation by memorizing God’s Word and praying for help. God will help us not to sin.

Ask your child these questions from today’s lesson:

1. Where was Jesus when Satan tempted him? In the wilderness/desert.

2. How long was Jesus in the desert without food? 40 days and nights.

3. Name one of Jesus’ temptations. Turn the stones into bread, jump off the temple so angels could catch him, bow down to worship Satan for the kingdoms of the world.

Whoever believes in the Son has

eternal life; whoever does not obey the

Son shall not see life, but the wrath of

God remains on him. John 3:36Copyright © 2019 Answers in Genesis. All rights reserved. See terms in “Limited License to Reproduce.”
