Jesus goes back to heaven.Luke 24:50-53; Acts 1:1-11

After Jesus came back to life, He spent many days talking to Hisfriends. One day they went to the top of a hill. “Tell people all overthe world about Me,” Jesus said. Jesus promised that the Holy Spiritwould come and make them able to do everything Jesus asked themto do.

Then Jesus went up to heaven. Jesus’ friends watched as Jesuswent up in the air. Soon Jesus was covered up by clouds. Jesus’friends couldn’t see Him anymore, but they kept looking up for awhile.

Suddenly two angels stood beside them. “Why do you stand herelooking into the sky?” They asked. “Jesus will come back somedaythe same way you saw Him go up into heaven.” Then Jesus’ friendswent to Jerusalem to pray and wait for the Holy Spirit to come.
