The Wilma Theater WIL-MA (wilmuh), n. 1. The fictitious
feminine persona of William Shakespeare. 2. A theater company that
combines the boldness of a space explorer with the precision of a
master craftsman. Mission: The Wilma Theater exists to present
theater as an art form, engaging artists and audiences in an
adventure of aesthetic and philosophical reflection on the
complexities of contemporary life. We accomplish our mission by
producing thoughtful, well-crafted productions of intelligent,
often daring, plays that represent a range of voices, viewpoints,
and production styles.

Collaborative Process Theater by nature is a collaborative
endeavor, so it is essential to work well as a team member. Begin
by playing games, building a basic skill set, then working up to
the framework of a show. Always encourage creativity and new ideas,
but stress that, by the end of the process, one must stick to the
set instructions of the director.
Slide 12
The Experience Overall, this process was exhausting, yet
rewarding. I worked with a group of smart and talented children. I
was able to observe teachers, professionals in their craft, guide
students through a collaborative learning process of creating their
own production. I gained knowledge in arts education that I will
take with me in all future teaching endeavors.
