Where did Octobergo?RISK: TakingEurope for God.

Team Fredrikstad! The vision of RISK is sending teams from Norway

to every country in Europe to pray and evangelize

at the same time. First the whole DTS travelled to a

YWAM base in Skien, Norway, about 12 hours

drive from Aalesund, for training in evangelism.

There were teams from all the bases in southern

Norway there and we learned a lot from the

teachers. Then we split into our teams, the music track

leader, Ken Robin and I led a team to Fredrikstad, a

city in the very south of Norway about 45 minutes

from Sweden. We stayed in Ken Robins home church,

called 3:16 or Rd Mlle. We did a lot of prayer,

some evangelism, we visited key spots in the area

to pray over them and we led the Sunday service

at the church. It was a really great time there; the

church was awesome and very hospitable. We all

    felt so blessed being there!

    The Busiest Weekend

EverThe second weekend in October was crazy busy for

me. As hospitality staff it is my job to make sure all

guest teachers and visitors have a place to stay and

food to eat. That weekend was had 6 teachers, 1

mission builder, and 5 guests arriving and staying for

the week. In my house we had 5 extra people, one

sleeping in my room! That means 11 people were

sharing one bathroom! It was very busy making sure

every one had everything that they needed.

That led into a creative week, where the DTS splits

into their tracks and each have teaching in art. For meit means a lot of time in the kitchen! I made hot

lunches every day for the teachers. Lots of fun, but lots

    of work too!

On Thursday that week we had Supper in Homes.

Which is when the staff and families host students at

their houses for supper. We had 4 students and 2

teachers over, I made apple pie and chocolate cake and

we also had Norwegian pancakes, which are a lot like

crepes. It was a nice cozy time to get to know the

    students better.

    Teaching with Sue Rinaldi

The 24th to the 27th we had Sue

Rinaldi from England teachingon communicating Gods

heart to the world through thearts. The teaching was verygood, and the students seemed

to really enjoy it and learn a

lot. This week I attended teaching, met with my one on ones, lead

small group, lead intercessiongroup, on Wednesday the staffhad teaching with Sue on how

to stay inspired in our busyschedules, I cooked lunches, and made dinner for the DTS

    on Friday.

And then I turned 21!Friday the 28th was my 21st birthday! I went tothe YWAM founded caf, Lyspunktet, forcake and coffee. I knew the baristas and they

gave me my cake and coffee for free with abirthday candle on my cake that I blew threetimes, the first by laughing on it accidentally.

On Saturday I baked a bunch of snacks andhad the staff over to hang out and it was verynice and now I am 21!

Overall things are going well hereIt has continued to be busy but we are really enjoying life here in Aalesund. It hasnt snowed yet

and I am starting to wonder if winter will ever completely arrive, bringing Christmas with it of

course. The students are so much fun, a really good group of people who are really enthusiastic

and willing to be taught. I am learning so much as a leader, I feel like Ive done more growing

and learned more this year as a staff than I did on my DTS! I enjoy being able to be there for the

students, I have grown quite close to my one on ones, Ida, Miia and Sarah, and I love that I can

take time to pray for them and with them, making sure they are doing well and helping them to

process the teaching. Please continue praying for me as the year goes on and as I try to balance

my schedule and my duties as DTS staff, Hospitality staff and as an artist.

Tusen takk og Gud velsigne dere! (Thank you and God bless you!)
