QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY
Highly analytical and talented in Process Design Engineering with current background in
detailed design and manufacturing of skid mounted process equipment for the domestic and
international oil and gas industries. Related experience and practicum include:
Process Simulation: Accomplished at process simulations in PROMAXTM and at ease with
HYSISTM flow sheet modeling and sensitivity analysis. Skilled at detailed equipment
designs. Solid understanding of process controllability aspects, thermodynamics, mass
transfer, process heat transfer, and cost effective material selection for corrosive and non-
corrosive services.
Administration / Organization: Regularly conduct engineering staff meetings, Interview
potential new-hire engineers, Effectively communicate with customers, vendors, outside
applications engineers, office personnel, and engineering team members. Review and
approve engineering calculations, instrument data sheets, vessel drawings, PFDs and
P&IDs, Make certain engineering department is in compliance with numerous, codes,
standards and regulations.
Technical Proficiencies: Experienced in conducting computational fluid dynamic studies
using both SolidWorks 2011 and Autodesk Simulation CFD 2014. Adept at generating CFD
& FEA reports and Studies. Regularly use PROMAX simulator to create, analyze and
optimize new and existing process systems. Frequently utilize Visual Basic for Applications
in excel to create calculation sheets and analyze data. Proficient at sizing and specifying
control valves, pressure safety valves, level, temperature & pressure transmitters,
elements and indicators.
Leadership / Travel: Interviewed, hired, and managed a team of four engineers.
Communicate directly with business executives on engineering departments status,
direction and growth. Traveled to Istanbul, Turkey to conduct a ten day training class for
thirty engineers, Participated in multiple Haz-op’s on safety critical and control sensitive
process systems in an international setting. Participated in both domestic and international
equipment start-ups and process trouble shootings. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

design meetings. Additional accountabilities include detailed design work, direct
correspondence with equipment and instrumentation suppliers to adequately size and select;
control valves, pressure safety valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, distillation
towers, mist extractors, vanes, nozzles, filters and piping, creating and optimizing process
simulations and equipment sizing for the following systems:
Electrostatic Heater Treater & Desalter Units
Amine sweetening
Glycol dehydration
Condensate stabilization
J-T and refrigeration processes
Multi stage three phase separations
Auxiliary duties include attending HAZOP studies, Design reviews, material selection,
regulation adherence, start-up and operating procedure coauthoring.
International & domestic travel time up to 30%
UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA AT LAFAYETTE, Lafayette, LA
Chemical Engineering Project II (Research Assistant), 1/2011 to 5/2012
Responsible for surveying literature and evaluating current finite element model utilized by
research team. Support research efforts including nano-scratches on polyethylene composite
and pure polyethylene with nano-sized clay particles as filler. Perform modeling of experiment
using ABAQUS Finite Element Analysis software package. Presented findings to research team
with emphasis in remeshing procedures, rheology, and viscoelastic modeling.
Reduced required research time and sharpened focus on specific modeling types by
summarizing and presenting pertinent findings.
Assisted in developing methods and techniques to improve understanding and
visualization of surface morphology.
UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA AT LAFAYETTE — Lafayette, LA
Bio-Processing Research Assistant, 8/2008 to 10/2011
Set up and conducted various extraction experiments under direction of Professor Dufreche.
Assisted in analyzing algae samples to identify strands with highest amounts of oil for
conversion into bio-diesel. Performed gas chromatography on extracted oil to determine
percentages within individual strands. Utilized gas chromatography equipment, centrifuge,
pipettes, beakers, flasks, titration and general lab equipment. Drafted and updated material
safety data sheets. Worked closely with other students to prepare and deliver effective
research presentations.
Improved organizational efficiency by compiling inventories of all chemicals in lab.
