WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARDAQ-13/1, SECTOR – V, SALT LAKE CITY KOLKATA – 700 091.

For Admission to B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharyya), B.H.M.S. (Homoeopathy), B.Sc. Nursing,Physiotherapy (Degree) and B.U.M.S. (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) courses in differentGovernment/Private Ayurvedic / Homeopathic Medical Colleges, Nursing / Physiotherapy and UnaniColleges/Institutes of West Bengal during the academic session 2013-2014 through Joint Entrance Test-2013 (JENPARH-2013) to be conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.Eligibility Criteria : Applicant must be a citizen of India.

Age : Not less than 17 years as on 31 st December, 2013 for all courses.

(a) BHMS, Physiotherapy and BUMS a : The applicant having passed / appeared / due to appear in theyear 2013 at the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognised by theWest Bengal Council of H. S. Education with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and also Vernacular or any other 5 th subject.

(b) Nursing : Only female candidates having passed / appeared / due to appear in the year 2013 at theHigher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by West BengalUniversity of Health Sciences with 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/PC) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry,Biology and English taken together with pass marks in each subject individually are eligible.

(c) BAMS : Candidates must fulfilled on eligibility criteria for BHMS, BUMS and Physiotherapy alongwith obtaining 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Date of Examinatio n : The written test will be held on SUNDAY , the 2nd June, 2013.

Examination and Question Pattern : A written test will be conducted in Paper – I : Biological Sciences- 100 marks (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.); Paper – II : Physics & Chemistry – 100 marks (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.).

Residential Criteria : (a) BAMS, BHMS, Physiotherapy and BUMS : Candidates must have beenresiding in the State of West Bengal uninterruptedly for a minimum period of 10 (ten) years as on31.12.2012 or their parents must be permanent residents of West Bengal having their permanent homeaddresses in the State of West Bengal. (b) Nursing : For admission to government colleges, thecandidates either have been residing in the State of West Bengal uninterruptedly for not less than 10years as on 31.12.2012 or their parents must be permanent residents in the State of West Bengalhaving their permanent home addresses in the State of West Bengal. However, candidates of Statesother than West Bengal may be considered for admission to non-government NursingColleges/Institutions.Reservation of seats : For SC/ST /PC candidates State Government rules will be followed.

Application : Intending candidates shall have to apply in the prescribed Application Form which alongwith Information Brochure will be available w.e.f. 12.04.2013 to 04.05.2013 from the Branch Offices of Allahabad Bank Branches at Jadavpur (Bagha Jatin)) / Sealdah / Salt Lake (BD Block) / Lake Town /BBD Bagh (Stiphen House)) / Shyambazar / Howrah (Station) / Sonarpur / Chinsurah / Barrackpore /Barasat (Champadali) / Burdwan (B C Rd) / Durgapur (Benachiti) / Purulia / Raiganj / Balurghat /Jalpaiguri / Midnapur / Tamluk / Haldia / Krishnanagar / Baharampur / Malda / Coochbehar / Siliguri /Kurseong / Suri / Bankura / Asansol (G T Rd)) / Kakdwip / Behala / Raghunathganj. on all working dayson payment of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) in CASH. Duly filled in Application Form shouldreach the Board’s office by ‘Speed Post’ on or before 07.05.2013.
