What is an eDay?

• Originally developed as a day when assignments are completed electronically

• eDay is a day in which students receive their assignments prior to the scheduled eDay

• These days require students to work at home and do not require physical attendance in school buildings

• eDay is recognized by the ALSDE as a regular day of instruction

What do we expect an eDay to look like?

• Instruction linked to grade level standards,

• Real-time learning linked to in-class learning,

• A reflection of a normal school day, and

• A valuable day of instruction and learning

Common Mistakes

• Too much work

This is the most common mistake made.

• No clear plan on who should be assigning work (all specials in elementary schools, only those special classes scheduled on the eDay, PE…)

• Type of work assigned

Assignments must be a continuation of the real-time learning

taking place in the classroom
