Jeff erson Express brings professional training workshops directly to your commu-nity and business. Jeff erson Express is a mobile computer lab complete with 15 laptops, an instructor and technician with the ability to set up at any location.

By partnering with local libraries, community organizations and businesses, workshops can be off ered that benefi t community members in Jeff erson and Lewis counties. Workshops range from basics such as Introduction to Computers, to the more advanced QuickBooks skills.

Businesses can arrange for custom training as well. Training can take place right in your offi ce or at a location convenient for you and your employees. Whether your employees need a specifi c set of skills or a general skills update, we can ar-range for a customized training session.

Army Community Service, 4330 Conway Road Fort DrumJanuary 31 - Computer Basics - Th is workshop is designed for those without any computer experience. Learn the fundamentals of computer operation, how to open and close programs, basic tools, basic letter creation and word processing.

February 28 - Basic Excel - Th is workshop is designed for those with little or no Excel experience. Learn how to use Microsoft Excel, manipulate cells, add graph-ics, use charts, sort, alphabetize, use simple formulas to analyze data and go over the basic Excel Ribbon.

March 19 - Introduction to the Internet and Searching - Participants will learn about basic Web surfi ng, to use search engines eff ectively, to be able to locate specifi c Web sites, about Internet safety and security, bookmarking and adding favorites, and about basic Internet terminology.

April 24 - Intro to Microsoft Word - Not familiar with word processing? Are you ready to create a paper, letter, or memo? You’ll learn how to use Word to create a document that eff ectively and professionally represents what you want to articu-late. In our mobile computer lab you will work hands-on to familiarize yourself with the technology and to integrate specialized text, graphics and/or photos into your fi nal creation. For beginners.

May 30 - Introduction to PowerPoint - Th is workshop is designed for those with no PowerPoint experience. Participants will learn how to create a presentation, create and edit slides, insert clipart, work with views and run the slide show.
