Full Stack Developer Intern Job Description BaraChic is a fintech startup based in Cote d’Ivoire and the online payday lending company active in French-speaking African markets. “Because we understand that Emergencies are trying moments; we wish to provide Finances in a timely and quicker way compared to what salaried employees experience today.” BaraChic offers Salary Advances guaranteed from direct salary deductions made by employers. We provide a web and mobile platform where employees can make a request online; receive a near-instant approval; get paid via a multi-channel approach of funds disbursement from local wire transfer to mobile money and allow employers to keep track of monthly repayments. We are enlisting your help to building such a platform all by yourself. Responsibilities English-speaking developers are not common in Cote d’Ivoire and we need one. We are looking to establish a long-term relationship with an experienced developer. We are initially offering a 6-month internship to build and engage together and once we are confident you’re the right man/woman for the job, we are willing to have you as a permanent team member with a package to be negotiated separately afterwards (including equity). Requirements

Solid experience building and shipping web applications (3+ years)

Love making things that serve users

Write clear, well-tested code

Solid TDD experience

Favor collaboration over isolation

Believe in shipping early and often

Find joy in your work

Excited to be responsible for production systems

Willing to relocate to Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire and must cover own transportation costs (~40

USD for one-way A/C bus coach or ~200 USD/350 USD for one-way/round-trip fare)

Optional bonus points

Our requirements are above, but here are some other things that we’d also be glad to see:

Experience building for or exposure in the financial sector

Deep git knowledge

A CS degree

Another CS degree

Devops and/or AWS/Azure experience

Contributions to open-source projects

Experience building highly reliable systems
