Jay Sankey's Magnet Card Effect: A card randomly chosen by the spectator from the middle of the deck suddenly jumps to the second card in the deck, under the magnet card on top of the deck. This is done twice, but on the third time the card with the magnet on back suddenly becomes the spectators chosen card. Preperation: Sharpie Ability to do Topper Tact Ability to do Vernon's Depth Illusion aka Tilt. Ability to do Double lift. Method: Take the Sharpie and draw a 'U' shaped magnet on the back of the top card.Preform a double lift and lift the card up so the back is close to your mouth. Blow on the ink and casually act like your drying it off. This is a simple way of showing the spectator what the magnet card is suppose to be, without blurting it out and announcing it. Place the double back on the top of the deck. Now spread the deck like asking a spectator to choose a card. Tell them when to say stop. Once they do out jog a card from the middle. Preform Topper Tact. (If you don't know what that is I'll explain it here- With the card out jogged you use your thumb to push up the top card on the deck while pushing the random middle card back into the deck with your fingers. This is all done while you turn the deck over. So to the spectator it looks like the chosen card is the one flashed to them. Let them register what card it is, but don't hold it up long enough to discover that it's the top card, or now the bottom card in your hand.) Now hold the deck with two hands placing your thumbs over the middle. Bend the cards down with your thumbs, then bend them upwards with your fingers. This should cause a snap like sound. Now take the first two cards off deck. The magnet card will be on top with the other card on bottom. Now As you turn your hand over you need to pull the bottom card back with your fingers and push the top card ( or magnet card ) forward so that when your hand is turned over it looks like the face of the magnet card is under the indifferent card. Now just do the reverse when you bring your hand back into normal position. Now place the magnet card on top of the deck, keeping the indifferent card. Now preform the Tilt. Now go through the process of snaping the cards and doing the two card switch. Place the magnet card back on top of the deck again keeping the indifferent card. Now you retro-actively sell the tilt by putting the indifferent card in the middle of the deck, from the front. Now snap the deck a third time removing the magnet card showing that the face magically has become the

Notes: This trick is relatively simple, but it packs a punch. I've really amazed some people with this trick.
