Sendai, March 2015 to position satellite-based DRR in HFA2 (2015-2025)o The working session “Earth observations to support
national and local disaster-risk reduction initiatives” o CEOS exhibition
• Our goal is to position the role of EO in WCDRR/HFA2 which is once a decade opportunity to mainstream EO data use for DRR.

Ocean• Contribute to GEO Blue Planet through CEOS COVERAGE
(CEOS Ocean Variables Enabling Research and Applications for GEO)
• Partnership with JAMSTEC and other ocean institutes• Cooperate with CSIRO in the Blue Planet Symposium, which is
planned in the week of May 25, 2015 in Cairns.• Our goal is to promote space-ocean alliance and ocean
information service in cooperation with major ocean institutes and other stakeholders.
